When EdgeVerve rolled out a major Scaled Agile (SAFe) initiative for their core banking solution Finacle, it became painfully evident that something had to be done about testing. Although development speeds accelerated by 50-66%, developers were waiting up to 6 months for quality feedback, while defects were regularly being discovered days before releases.

A major transformation was needed. The QA leaders at EdgeVerve resolved to overhaul their entire testing process: testing earlier and faster, with tests which would not require maintenance each time the application changed.
