In the fast-paced world of software development and quality assurance, time is always a critical factor. Teams need tools that streamline processes, enhance collaboration, and minimize manual overhead. That’s where Tricentis Testim comes in, and we’re excited to share some powerful new features that will boost the efficiency of your testing workflows.
We’ve listened to your requests and acted on your feedback. Testim is packed with new capabilities designed to strengthen your success in test management, reporting, and test recovery. This is the first in a series meant to highlight the latest updates, so stay tuned for more. Here’s a breakdown of the latest:
Platform updates
PDF test reports: Presenting results to all stakeholders
Reporting is a crucial part of any testing process, but it can be time consuming to manually create and format reports. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce updated PDF Test Reports, which allow you to generate professional, shareable reports of your test results, complete with detailed execution data, test coverage, and pass/fail status.
The PDF Test Report provides stakeholders with a clear, concise view of the testing progress, making it easier to communicate results across teams. Whether it’s for client meetings, leadership presentations, or compliance documentation, these reports are a game-changer. No more struggling with complex reporting tools or manually formatting test results — Testim does it all for you.
Improved test recovery: Get back on track faster
Test failures are inevitable, but recovering from them shouldn’t slow down your progress. Test recovery has been a long-standing challenge for many QA teams, and we’ve made significant improvements in this area. Testim now offers improved recovery mechanisms to ensure that your tests can be rerun quickly and efficiently after failure, reducing downtime and minimizing the impact on your overall testing schedule.
These improvements help you get back to testing faster, with less manual intervention. The recovery process is now smoother, meaning your team can spend more time testing and less time troubleshooting failed tests.
Testim web updates
Significant performance enhancement: Optimized process for Web Test Recordings
If you have large and complex applications and tests, this update is a game changer. We’ve optimized our web test recording process for faster test case creation when you’re dealing with complex applications.
By implementing selective and conditional DOM cloning, we avoid unnecessary duplicates and handle changes efficiently, resulting in faster performance. While much of this update is behind the scenes, it provides a smoother testing experience by reducing system resource usage. Instead of cloning a new DOM, we leverage your existing one whenever possible. These improvements lead to a faster and more efficient recording process.
This enhancement is expected to significantly benefit those working with complex and heavy DOMs for a smoother, faster testing experience.
Cloning tests across projects: A game changer for reuse and cross-team collaboration
One of the most requested features has finally arrived! Cloning tests across projects is now possible within Testim. This game-changing feature addresses a major pain point for many testing teams. Whether you’re working on multiple product versions, collaborating with different teams, or reusing tests in various contexts, you can now easily clone and repurpose tests across projects.
Previously, teams had to recreate tests from scratch for different projects, leading to duplication of effort and inconsistent test coverage. With the new cloning feature, you can quickly copy your existing tests into other projects, saving time and ensuring consistency across teams. This feature is already making waves, helping teams streamline their workflows.
With test cloning, you can leverage best practices across different projects, reduce work by using existing solutions, and create a library of available tests and projects for building out your testing practice.
Mobile updates
Enhanced Mode: More reliable testing for hybrid and cross-platform applications
Enhanced Mode delivers tests that are more stable, faster, and with greater versatility compared to Appium-based testing. With its zero-knowledge approach and unified API, the new enhanced mode sees the internal structure of your mobile better than any other tool in the market.
Enhanced Mode also makes it possible to create reliable tests for hybrid applications (with embedded web views), applications created with the React Native and Flutter cross-platform frameworks, as well as native apps. These applications, which are difficult to test and unreliable using Appium, are now fully supported.

Testim Salesforce updates
Dynamic Forms
Fields on Lightning pages can now be converted to Dynamic Forms for field grouping and dynamic layouts. Fields can be grouped together from different sections, and also grouped into components, such as different columns and tabs. Sections and Fields now have visibility rules based on record data, user details, and device type.
