We are thrilled to announce that the Vera 2025.1 release has gone live within the Vera platform. The Vera 2025.1 release further streamlines your daily reporting and record maintenance, revolving largely around updates and improvements to user interface, performance, and security. As our team at Tricentis continues to iterate on our products, we are always looking for opportunities to make your testing experience more efficient, faster, and increasingly automated.
Approval queue and record search
Vera 2025.1 includes improved search load time and subsequently faster filter results. The filters with Domain information are now stored on Records and Approval Routes.
Record details
Other than record search, there are improvements to record detail improvements as well. The record detail improvements that have become available in 2025.1 include aura font and font size changes, added “–” for blank fields, and the steps and approval route has been updated.
- Fields now display up to 3 columns across depending on browser width
- Step and execution columns are aligned and easier to review
Print view
Print view also has a few improvements. The record print view will load with multiple sequential requests instead of a single request to prevent timeout on larger records — this will improve your ability to release with efficiency and speed. Some of the table tags have been replaced with div tags for better cross browser support so you can make sure all browser versions are supported.
Domain management
The updates to domain management that have been included in the 2025.1 release include prevention of deleting a domain with records and preventing removing a project from a domain if it contains records. You now have the ability to move projects to another project and your orphaned records will be added to the domain when the associated project is added to the domain.
- Vera now prevents users from deleting domains if they contain a project and also prevents users from deleting a project from a domain if it contains records, adding further control over user access roles across your team.
- The projects filter on the domain management table makes it easy to find a domain using the qTest Project ID or Jira Project key.
- The “move project” action was added to support moving projects from the current domain to a different domain.
- The “move project” action will update all projects records and will take minutes to process the change. The “rename domain” action will update all project records in the domain and can take time to complete as well depending on the number of records in the domain.
