S/4HANA 2023 upgrade

LiveCompare’s “SAP HANA Upgrade Analysis” App streamlines the assessment process for upgrades between HANA versions, providing actionable insights to support project planning and execution. The app delivers both a high-level project Dashboard report and detailed reports to assist with:

• Resolving impacted custom code
• Prioritizing critical SAP standard testing activities
• Identifying vulnerable integration points

The application integrates with connected Test Repositories to identify relevant test assets for impacted items. These assets can be leveraged to create test executions or define test requirements. Additionally, the Upgrade Analysis App can detect “sick” test cases and modules within a designated high-risk Test Repository when the Heal Tests feature is enabled.

In this release, the app includes enhancements to the Fiori Apps Data Source, now updated with the latest S/4HANA 2023 capabilities. This update supports the identification of obsolete Fiori apps while incorporating data for over 70 obsolete apps and more than 1,600 new Fiori apps.

In-App reporting

No Excel? No problem. LiveCompare 2025.1 has removed the Excel requirement, making it accessible to teams that use alternatives to Microsoft Office. This ensures stakeholders can more effectively monitor LiveCompare’s usage across their SAP DevOps teams, ensuring the right individuals are integrating LiveCompare insights into their workflows.

LiveCompare 2025.1 features significant performance enhancements across multiple components. Searching test repositories, such as Tricentis Tosca, has been optimized and shared internal databases have been unlocked, and collectors no longer cause UI to freeze. Smart Impact Analysis is now able to run much faster and searching for Test Hits/Gaps is reported at 30x faster speed. Separate databases have been implemented to eliminate bottlenecks by preventing database locking. Also, background activity runs seamlessly without blocking other functions.
