“It’s not even a question of are we going into the cloud or not. The question is, how aggressively are we moving to the cloud?”

Those were the assured words of Dr. Grigori Melnik, Tricentis CTO, on our podcast in June this year (episode link here). As this imperative for Tricentis continues to be top-of-mind, our leaders are keen to share their learnings along the way, the latest being Wolfgang Platz, Tricentis Founder and CSO, who joined us on a recent episode to share advice on boosting your cloud migration confidence.

We were lucky to catch Wolfgang on the Transformation in 10 podcast last month to share insights on navigating cloud transformations and more, just before his keynote aired at the Tricentis Virtual Summit. With the theme of the summit being ‘Delivering software innovation at DevOps speed’, it also presented the perfect opportunity to talk with Clint Sprauve, Director of Product Marketing at Tricentis and expert in all things DevOps.

This blog gives you a feel for these podcast episodes, which are available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, and more.

Episode 30: Wolfgang Platz attests that software testing accounts for 60% of cloud migration efforts

As our first guest to return to the podcast, it was a pleasure to hear from Wolfgang, especially on the critical role that testing plays in successful cloud migration, whether you are rehosting or refactoring. We also explore how to best achieve the delicate balance of achieving innovation at speed, where Wolfgang recognizes that Agile development, while already widely embraced, must now be implemented at scale.

Wolfang encourages us to check out the Tricentis Virtual Summit to get firsthand feedback on what it means when people scale their Agile and DevOps journey at enterprise level. It’s reassuring to hear that our cloud migration goals are achievable given a few factors — one being the relevance of data, which isn’t to be underestimated:

Listen to this conversation with Wolfgang and check out his Virtual Summit keynote for “six steps that you want to follow in order to get your cloud migration done as quickly and as cost aware as possible.”

Episode 31: Clint Sprauve defines DevOps by what it means for you

Clint Sprauve is acutely aware that there’s no cookie cutter way to do DevOps, which is why the goal of his summit session is to “demystify and simplify” it. Whilst 10 different people might define DevOps differently, in this episode Clint digs into what we do know from recent reports from Forrester and Puppet — and how to shape your DevOps journey according to your needs.

Clint really hits home that adopting a DevOps tool isn’t ‘doing DevOps’; tools alone won’t take you to the promised land. Far more difficult are gaining the organizational buy-in and developing the skills required for success. Clint wants to aid “anyone with testing in their title or anyone responsible for quality” with the knowledge that the goal should always be releasing quality software, whatever the methodology:
